• How it all Started •
"Duke the Piano Dane" is the stage name for Marmaduke Hulbert, a Harlequin Great Dane who was born on August 16, 2020 in Lurray, VA. Arriving at his permanent home in Baltimore County, MD in October 2020, Duke began demonstrating exceptional intelligence and an interest in piano music. Before he turned two, Jarl & Irene Hulbert (Artist Music's directors) began teaching Duke to play the piano, and he quickly established himself as an expert in all things piano.
Duke's involvement with formally reviewing pianos for Artist Music began when Dr. Jarl Hulbert filmed Duke expressing his opinions about three different piano brands. Watch his first video below.
